Dredging of the channel from the main shipping channel to the boat launches, that began in August 2011, with completion expected in December. The channel is to be about 80-90′ wide with a depth of 8′ from “low water datum” (which equals about a 4′ to 5′ deep channel in the mud), taking out 60,000 cubic yards of material.
The Dredging was financed by a $500,000 grant from – $400K ODNR and a $100K City of Toledo investment !
